 Welcome on the skiing area GALIBIER-THABOR!

This is the new label name given to our skiing area VALLOIRE-VALMEINIER. It refers to the mountain of Grand Galibier (3228m high) and Mount Thabor (3178m high) which are surrounding both resorts of Valloire and Valmeinier. The skiing area offers 150 kms of runs over 4 different sides of mountains

70% of the skiing area is over 2000m.high which guarantees exceptional snow conditions from December to April. 400 snow canons are settled on specific areas and provides very good and homogeneous surfaces for skiing.

The skiing area is open from 22/12/2007 to 19/04/2008 !!

Pre-season : 15/12/07 to 21/12/07 (Valloire area only)
Post-season : 20/04/08 to 25/04/08 (Valloire area only)
83 pistes of all levels which cover the mountains of Gros Crey, Crey du Quart,and Sétaz. They start right in the villages at 1 500m high
or from the resort at 1 800m high to reach the top of the mountains at 2 600m high.

     *   6 black runs,
     * 31 red runs,
     * 25 blue runs,
     * 21 green runs.

34 ski-lifts:

      *  2 gondolas,
      * 18 chair lifts,
      * 14 drag lifts. 

The "Top" advantages of the Galibier-Thabor skiing area :

       * 70% of the skiing area is above 2 000m high.
       * 5th Snowpark of France : halfpipe, medium, expert and ski-cross
       * Link VAL THORENS-ORELLE : 30mns by car from the resort.
          Exceptional rate for clients who possess a minimum 2 days
          ski-pass still valid : 16,50 €

New in 2007/2008

        * The Combe drag lift will be replaced by the Moneul chair-lift at the
           top of Crey du Quart mountain
        * Opération "Premiers Flocons" from 01/10/2007 on the web :  purchase your Season ski-pass on line with 60% reduction between the 1st of October and the 31st of October 2007

News ski-passes for the next winter season :

        * Forfait Famille (family ski-pass) : reduction for the purchase of
           4 ski-passes 6 days at the same time (2 adults + 2 enfants
           = 499 €)
        * Forfait 5 sur 7 : choose your 5 skiing days during the validity of 
           your 7 days ski-pass (Adult : 132,5 €)
        * Forfait 4 heures : 4 hours validity whenever you start during the  day (Adult : 23 €)
        * Forfait Snowpark journée : direct access to the Snowpark and 
           special ski-pass giving access to some lifts right next to the 
           Snowpark :15 €
