28th to 30th JULY:Masters de Pétanque, Valmeinier is welcoming one of the 8 stages of the "Masters de Pétanque" competition, a major event for the amateurs of this game originally from Provence.
SUNDAY 2nd AUGUST: FETE DES DESERTS - Festivities presented by the Valmeinier Ski Club: open air meal, stalls, games, demonstrations, live music... to raise money for the club.
WEDNESDAY 5th AUGUST: PILGRIMAGE TO NOTRE DAME DES NEIGES - A pilgrimage to this chapel situated in the heart of an untouched valley, open air Holy Communion service.
SUNDAY 9th AUGUST: VILLAGE HERITAGE DAY - Discover yesterday's Valmeinier. Festivities in and around the church of Valmeinier, Holy Communion service followed by local meal, presentation of traditional costumes, inter-hamlet competitions, exhibitions based on life as it was and as it is today.
FRIDAY 14th AUGUST: National holiday - games, entertainment, open air meas, fireworks, dancing...
